By using note-noodle ("the app"), operated by OLTEAN F. I. ALEXANDRU-FLORIN PERSOANĂ FIZICĂ AUTORIZATĂ ("OLTEAN F. I. ALEXANDRU-FLORIN PFA", "we", "us"), a sole trader registered in Romania whose details are in section 13, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The app provides interactive music theory practice tools — fretboard, staff notation, ear training, rhythm, play-along, and a guided curriculum — along with optional social features (public profiles, follows, an activity feed, friend challenges, and a leaderboard).

You can use most of the app in guest mode, with no account: your progress is stored only on your own device. Creating an account is optional and adds cloud sync (so your progress follows you across devices) plus the social features.

Most of the app is free. Two kinds of purchase are offered. One-time purchases unlock an individual playable instrument, or the take recorder, permanently on your account — there is no renewal and nothing to cancel. An optional Premium subscription unlocks higher or unlimited use of certain features, and includes everything the one-time purchases unlock, for as long as it is active.

Every paid product, on the web and in our Android apps, is sold by OLTEAN F. I. ALEXANDRU-FLORIN PFA. On the web, payments are handled by Stripe; inside an Android app, by Google Play. A subscription renews automatically each billing period until you cancel, which you can do at any time from the billing portal (web) or Google Play (Android); after you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these terms.

Every account gets one free trial of the paid instruments, lasting five days from the first time you open one. It covers all of them, it starts once, and it cannot be restarted.

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for any activity under your account. Provide an email address you actually control — we use it for sign-in and, if something goes wrong with your account, to reach you. You must be at least 16 to create an account; if you are under 16, a parent or guardian has to agree to these terms on your behalf. Guest mode needs no account and no age check, because your progress and settings stay on your own device and are never sent to us. What does leave it while you use the site, such as the cookieless page-view statistics and the diagnostic report sent when an error occurs, is described in the Privacy Policy.

Profile details (username, bio), activity feed posts, comments, reactions, and challenge results are visible to other users when your profile is set to public. You can switch your profile to private at any time from your profile page.

Do not post anything illegal; anything that harasses, threatens, bullies or impersonates another person; anything sexually explicit; anything that promotes violence, self-harm or hatred against a group; spam or advertising; or anything that infringes another person's rights. You keep ownership of what you post, and you give us permission to show it to the people your privacy setting allows and nothing further.

Play Along accepts MIDI and Guitar Pro files that you provide. By uploading one you confirm that you own it or otherwise have the right to use it in this way — for example because you wrote it, because it is in the public domain, or because you bought a licence that allows personal practice use.

You keep every right you had in the file. The only permission you give us is the one the feature needs: to store your upload and process it so the app can show it and play it back to you. We do not publish it, show it to other users, or use it for anything else, and if you connect Google Drive the file is saved to your own Drive rather than ours.

You can delete an uploaded file at any time. Deleting your account removes them all.

Every public profile and every comment carries a Report control, and you can block another user from your profile or from the friends page. Reports reach us directly and we review them.

If you believe something in the app infringes your copyright or another right you hold, email social@note-noodle.com with enough detail to identify the material, where it appears, and the right you are relying on. We will look into it and remove anything infringing.

We may remove content and suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used to abuse another user, or where we are required to by law. Where it is practical and lawful to do so we will tell you why, and you can reply to that decision at the same address. You can close your own account at any time from your profile page, which deletes your data.

Subscribing to the newsletter is opt-in and requires only an email address. Every newsletter email includes a one-click unsubscribe link; using it removes your email from our list immediately.

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time — from the billing portal on the web, or from Google Play in the Android app. Cancelling stops future renewals; your Premium access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. A one-time purchase has nothing to cancel: it unlocks what it unlocks and is not billed again.

Fourteen days, no conditions, on either kind of purchase. EU consumer law gives you a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital content, and lets a trader ask you to waive it in exchange for immediate access. We do not ask: contact us within 14 days of any purchase — a subscription or a one-time unlock — and we will refund it in full, whether or not you have used what you bought.

Where a purchase was made through Google Play, Google handles the refund. Ask us and we will approve it, or use the refund request in your Google Play order history.

The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We try hard to keep the music theory content accurate, but we don't guarantee it's error-free or fit for any particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Romania have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, including your rights under EU consumer-protection law and the GDPR.

If a complaint you raise with us is not resolved, you can also use the alternative dispute resolution (SAL) procedure of Romania's consumer protection authority, ANPC, at https://reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
