Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of terms

By using note-noodle ("the app"), operated by Alexandru-Florin Oltean ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. The service

The app provides interactive music theory practice tools — fretboard, staff notation, ear training, rhythm, play-along, and a guided curriculum — along with optional social features (public profiles, follows, an activity feed, friend challenges, and a leaderboard).

You can use most of the app in guest mode, with no account: your progress is stored only on your own device. Creating an account is optional and adds cloud sync (so your progress follows you across devices) plus the social features.

Most of the app is free. Where paid subscriptions are enabled, an optional Premium plan unlocks higher or unlimited use of certain features. On the web, Premium is billed through Stripe; inside the Android app, through Google Play. A paid plan renews automatically each billing period until you cancel, which you can do at any time from the billing portal (web) or Google Play (Android); after you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these terms.

3. Accounts

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for any activity under your account. Provide an email address you actually control — we use it for sign-in and, if something goes wrong with your account, to reach you.

4. Your content

Profile details (username, bio), activity feed posts, comments, reactions, and challenge results are visible to other users when your profile is set to public. You can switch your profile to private at any time from your profile page.

Don't post anything illegal, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this.

5. Newsletter

Subscribing to the newsletter is opt-in and requires only an email address. Every newsletter email includes a one-click unsubscribe link; using it removes your email from our list immediately.

6. Refunds & cancellation

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time — from the billing portal on the web, or from Google Play in the Android app. Cancelling stops future renewals; your Premium access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal after taking out a subscription. We honor it: contact us within 14 days of your purchase and we will cancel it and refund that payment in full.

7. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We try hard to keep the music theory content accurate, but we don't guarantee it's error-free or fit for any particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Romania have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, including your rights under EU consumer-protection law and the GDPR.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
